On Saturday night, we did a couple things we haven't done in a long time. First, we actually paid for a babysitter (we really should do that more often), and second, we went to a BYU Men's Volleyball game. Both were great. Now, even though Nate is a BYU Alum, he's not a big BYU fan. In fact, these days the only reason he'll even set foot on campus is Men's Volleyball. BYU (currently ranked #1) was playing CSU-Northridge (#6), so Nate thought it would be a good game to go to. BYU comfortably won the first two games of the match, making it look like we would be home by 9pm, but Northridge stepped up their game and started playing like a top 10 team in the third game and BYU didn't seem to realize they needed to start playing better until Northridge had won the third game and was ahead in the fourth game. The fourth game was back and forth all the way until the end when BYU hit a bad serve and allowed Northridge ahead, facilitating their win. BYU finally got their act together and quickly won the fifth game to win the match. It was nice to see BYU still win and stay undefeated, but it would have been even better to see them sweep Northridge instead of dragging it out into 5 games.

Good for you guys for going on a date!! I too am the one who would watch sports (well really only college football) while Rob could care less.
BYU Volleyball is so much fun to watch. Especially when they were #1 when I was in school and my friend Mackay from my Psych classes was one of the star players. It is fun to go when you have someone you know that you can root (is that how you spell it) for and then tease him the next day about the cheesy things they would put on the screen. Good times! BYU has the best volleyball team!
Since I am currently attending Northridge, I am practically obliged to weigh in on the matter. Northridge's #6 ranking is deceiving when the demographic of the "Valley" is taken into consideration. The ghetto contingent of volleyball players on the team roster are not well represented without employing some form of weapon on the court. If the current rules of volleyball were made to be more...oh, I don't know- thunderdome-centric, BYU would have been facing a loss on their record and a bill from Inter-Mountain Medical. I'm just sayin'
